El libro, titulado Systematic research on psychoanalytic concepts and clinical practice: the David Liberman algorithm (DLA) (UCES, Buenos Aires), expone y ejemplifica el algoritmo David Liberman (ADL).
La idea principal es que las fijaciones libidinales pueden ser estudiadas a través de las escenas contenidas en el discurso del paciente. Estas escenas pueden ser narradas o desplegadas al hablar durante la sesión.
En el libro se inventarian los erotismos y se expone una taxonomía de tales escenas. Pero una cosa son las escenas narradas y otra las escenas desplegadas al hablar. Si se desea investigar la relación extratransferencial del paciente, es suficiente estudiar las escenas que narra. Pero si se desea investigar la relación transferencial, y además los vínculos intersubjetivos entre paciente y terapeuta, es conveniente tomar en cuenta las escenas desplegadas mientras habla, Y estas escenas desplegadas pueden estudiarse mejor no al investigar las descripciones del paciente sobre sus recuerdos, sus vínculos laborales y familiares actuales, etc., sino al investigar sus actos del habla (frases y componentes melódicos y timbricos). Por ejemplo, no es lo mismo una escena de venganza narrada usando un tono triunfalista o frases de lamento, o dramatizaciones, u oraciones evitativas, etc. La misma narración puede ser acompañada por diferentes escenas expresadas como actos del habla.
En consecuencia, el libro no solo expone la taxonomía de las escenas narradas como expresión de erogeneidades específicas sino también la taxonomía de los actos del habla que corresponden a las escenas desplegadas al hablar.
Esta es la fundamentacion del método de investigación. Algunos otros pasos complementarios permiten investigar las defensas, tomando en cuenta la tesis freudiana de que las defensas son destinos (o vicisitudes) de pulsión. En consecuencia, si las escenas permiten inferir qué erogeneidad prevalece, la posición del narrador en ellas permite detectar las defensa y su estado (exitoso, fallido, etc.). Algunos otros pasos conducen a investigar el nivel de análisis de la palabra, la subjetividad del terapeuta cuando interviene, etc.

The book, entitled Systematic research on psychoanalytic concepts and clinical practice: the David Liberman algorithm (DLA) (UCES, Buenos Aires), exposes and exemplifies David Liberman algorithm (DLA).
The main idea is that libidinal fixations can be studied in the scenes contained in the patient discourse. Those scenes can be narrated or displayed during the session while speaking.
The authors inventariated the eroticisms and exposed a taxonomy of scenes. They took into account that one thing is the narrated scene and other one the displayed scenes while speaking. If researchers want to investigate extrantransferential relationship of the patient, narrated scenes by him are enough. If researchers want to investigate the transferential relationship, and even intersubjetive links between patient and therapist, they need to take into account the scenes displayed while speaking. And those displayed scenes appears better detected not when focusing the patient’s descriptions of his memories, his actual links in the work and in the family, etc, but when studying his speech acts (phrases and melodic and timbric components). For example, it’s not the same the scene of vengeance narrated using either triumphalistic tone, or complaint phrases, or dramatizations, or sentences of avoidance, etc. The same narrated scene is accompanied by different scenes expressed as specific speech acts.
In consequence, the authors exposed not only the taxonomy of scenes narrated expressing specific erogeneicities but also the taxonomy of speech enunciation expressing the scenes displayed while speaking.
This is the foundation of the method. Some other complementary steps allow to research defenses, taking into account a Freudian statement: defenses are drive destinations (or vicissitudes). In consequence, if scenes allow to infer what erogeneicity prevails, the position of the speaker in them allows to detect the defenses and its state (successful, failed, etc.). Some other steps leads to investigate word level of analysis, the subjectivity of the therapist when intervening, etc.
